Little Ol' Me
I'm a SAHM to 2 wonderful kiddos and wife to an amazing husband. I love to do lots of things...cook, sew, take photographs of my adorable children, bake, attempt to grow beautiful flowers, decorate our little home, crafty things, and more.
In December 2010, I was diagnosed with Neuroendocrine Cancer. Since then, life has been a hectic mess of chemo, doctors appointments, hospital stays, kiddos growing up, and life just happening. A lot of things that I love to do were pushed to the side and forgotten. I am still in the midst of my cancer battle, but I am feeling really good, and starting to do things I enjoy again.
One of the things I love to do is cook. Recently, I made a drastic change in my diet...I went veggie. I made this change based on lots of research I did about cancer and your diet (I plan on posting about that info at some time). I'm not making the big jump to vegan ( I LOVE cheese too much), but I have said "bye bye" to meat. **UPDATE** After discussing things with my oncologist we decided a flexitarian diet would be better for me, still mostly meatless, just some occasional meat.
So this blog is now going to be my place to document my veggie journey (and I'll still throw in other things...because its my blog & I can do whatever I want.)
